The Polytechnic Ibadan Senior Staff Club have congratulated the newly-appointed Acting Rector of the institution, Dr Taiwo Abideen Lasisi, describing him as a round peg in a round hole.
In a statement jointly signed by Sola Kareem and Adéọlá Adelabu, the club’s President and Public Relations Officer respectively, the new Acting Rector was described as an accomplished academic who rose through the ranks from the lowest rung till his appointment as Chief Lecturer 10 years ago.
Describing the New Rector as one of their own as a former Executive of the Senior Staff Club, they affirmed that Dr Lasisi leaves a legacy of effectiveness in the previous offices he has occupied in the institution, and has flown the flag of the institution globally.
The Executives wishes Dr Lasisi a successful tenure as Acting Rector, promising to partner with him to achieve his vision of making the institution regain its pride of place among the comity of tertiary institutions in the country.
