The Niyi Akintola progressive women association painted Ido Local Government HQ, Ido township brilliant colours on Thursday as they received their counterparts from the associations HQ in Ibadan and the leadership of Akintola Movement Organization headed by Chief Adeniyi Oyekunle.
The event which was tagged ” women are behind you” solidarity programme recorded an outstanding attendance from all the ten Ward’s of Ido local government. And it was such an enriching and revealing programme for the Ido women and their visitors.
While the women sang, danced and spoke vociferously about the plight of the rural women, Barrister Oyekunle speaking on behalf of Chief Adeniyi Akintola SAN admonished the women to come out in large numbers to participate in the process leading to the election of new leaders under the banner of the APC.
He told them to always support a candidate that will practically empower them than those who promise them stomach infrastructure which is the hallmark of the opposition and the dye in wool progressives whose intention is to deceive and economically rape the populace.
He said further thay Akintola made something of his life and he is working hard to lift up others.
The attendees were told to directly relate to the candidate they are following or his certified representatives so that the goal at hand will be achieved with ease.
Mrs. Kemi Adigun spoke glowingly about the turnout in Ido and the obvious hard work of the local organizing committee.
She delivered the Goodwill message from NAPWA HQ and assured them of developmental assistance from the centre.
