Police on Tuesday raided the residence of the sacked chairman of the disciplinary committee, Park Management System (PMS) in Oyo State, Mukaila Lamidi, aka Auxiliary, and recovered ammunitions.
The development came hours after the state Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde dissolved the PMS on Monday, after taking his oath for a second term in office.
It was gathered that the police team stormed Auxiliary’s residence at Olodo on Monday evening after an intelligence report that they were planning to launch an attack in protest against the development in Ibadan, the state capital, on Tuesday.
While Auxiliary reportedly escaped, some of his boys were arrested
Some of the items recovered at the residence include 474 live cartridges, cash, charms, cutlasses, knives, guns among others.
Oyo Police Command’s Spokesperson, SP Adewale Osifeso when contacted said the police will speak on the development shortly .
A source closed to auxiliary disclosed that during the raid , Auxiliary’s house and many cars were vandalized, some people were killed and while were some arrested and Millions of Naira were carted away
In a video posted online, Auxiliary’s Lexus SUV and a pick up Van were and window of his houses were damaged.
