Police Parades Aluminum Fabricator Who Allegedly Murder Pomon Seller in Ibadan

In a shocking turn of events, an aluminum fabricator in Ibadan, Oyo State, has been arrested for the alleged murder of his girlfriend.

The suspect,  Bolarinwa Segilogbon  is a married man children and operates his aluminum fabrication business in the Oke Akatapa area, off Apete Akufo road, in Ido Local Government.

According to reports obtained by national Insight, the deceased was Bola’s girlfriend, who had recently returned from Libya and was planning to start her own business with the resources she had acquired from her overseas trip

A resident, who wished to remain anonymous, told our correspondent that the deceased was known to be Bola’s girlfriend, as she used to sell ponmo (cow skin) in the area.

It  was reported that Bola lured the woman to a construction site around Ologuneru, where she was eventually killed and her body was dumped in a nearby bush path.

The gruesome incident came to light when some residents spotted the corpse and traced the blood trail back to the construction site. On Sunday, Bola reportedly returned to the site to clean up the blood stains, but he was apprehended by the residents, who then alerted the police.

Briefing journalists in Ibadan on Friday the state commissioner of police  Sonubi Ayodele said on july 7 at about 0800hrs, a suspected murder case was reported to Eleyele Police station that at about 0600hrs of same date, a lifeless body of an unidentified woman lying in the pool of her blood was found at No 48, Ore-ofe community area of Ologuneru under Ido Local Local Government.

According to the Police Commissioner, the complainant reported further that at about 0800hrs of same date, they saw the suspect, 35 year old Bolarinwa Segilogbon, covering the blood of the deceased with sand adding that the suspect was however, swiftly apprehended upon timely information and upon its investigation.

CP Sonubi stated that the suspect, Segilogbon (male), has also voluntarily confessed to the killing of his victim, Amdalat Afeez, a 34 year old online ‘ponmo’ (hides) vendor who is now deceased, Amdalat

The suspect confessed to have met her online demanding a meeting in order to connect her with people interested in making bulk purchase but instead in a rather disturbing twist of events, he (the suspect) violently took her life when they eventually met. Suspect will be charged to court.” CP Sonubi said.

While fielding questions from journalists, the murder suspect, Bolarinwa Segilogbon confessed to the crime saying: “So, I invited her to a construction site that I’m monitoring because I had told her someone wanted to buy ponmo, after her arrival in the evening, she asked me about the people who wanted to buy ponmo and I told her it wasn’t because of the ponmo I invited her that it was because of the money she agreed to borrow me.

“She later got upset after feeling disappointed and from there we started arguing, I afterward hit her with a plank.
