Police Narrate How Lagos Monarch Son Demola Akinloye Was Killed

The Lagos State Police Command has narrated how gunmen shot and stabbed to death Demola, the first son of the Ojomu of Ajiran land, Tijani Akinloye.

Demola was shot and stabbed to death on Monday along Chevron Drive, close to Ebano Supermarket, Lekki area of Lagos.

Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson of the Command in a statement on Monday said the police had begun investigation into the dastardly murder.

He said Demola, 50, was attacked and killed along Chevron Drive in the Lekki area of Lagos while driving in his black Toyota Corolla.

According to him, he was attacked near Bourdilon Court Estate Gate by four armed men driving in a white mini bus.

Hundeyin explained that the attackers shot and stabbed him to death, saying that the scene had been visited and one expanded cartridge was recovered while the corpse had been moved to a morgue for preservation and autopsy.

He disclosed that the case would be transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba, for further investigation.

It was gathered that palpable fear had gripped residents of the Ajiran land over the gruesome killing of the prince
