The Nigeria Police Force has commenced an investigation into an alleged unruly behaviour by fuji music icon, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
According to the Force Headquarters, the investigation follows an official petition from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), accusing the musician of obstructing the safe operation of an aircraft in violation of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations, 2023. The incident was reportedly recorded on August 5, 2025.
Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has directed the Commissioner of Police, Airport Command, to carry out a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and ensure justice is served.
Force spokesperson, DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, assured the public of the police’s commitment to ensuring safety and security in Nigeria’s aviation sector, pledging improved collaboration with stakeholders to enforce strict compliance with aviation laws.
