Presidential candidate of Labour Party Mr. Peter Obi will tomorrow Tuesday February 21, 2023, takes his campaign train to Ogbomoso, second largest city in Oyo state.
This is according to a press release signed by co-chairman, media, Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council Oyo state, Comrade Abiodun James.
The release made available to ogbomosoinsightonline.com states that Peter Obi will during his visit make courtesy call on the Soun-in-Council at the Ogbomoso Palace where he is expected to meet with the members of the council presently headed by Areago of Ogbomosoland High Chief Sobalaje Otolorin (as the Soun throne is currently vacant aftermath the demise of the last Oba, Dr. Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade lll JP CON CFR), as well as to the Ijeru Palace to confer with Onpetu of Ijeru kingdom, Oba Sunday Oyediran Lagbami Osekun III.
Also, the former governor of Anambra state will visit Aale of Okelerin Oba Samuel Babatunde Amao II after which he would hold a town hall meeting with Labour Party members, supporters, youths and the general populace at the Ogunlola Hall, Oja’gbo.
The press release urges Labour Party enthusiasts to be on the lookout and turn out in large numbers to welcome Obi. He is expected to arrive in Ogbomoso in the afternoon.
It is added, “Obi represents the new hope for Nigeria, he represents a break from the past and as he has been saying he will build a new Nigeria where life will be meaningful. Corruption, leadership rudderlessness and underdevelopment he will push permanently into dustbin of history; with him a new Nigeria will be birthed.”
Youths especially are called upon to come out enmass to listen to their “champion” speak on his plan for a new Nigeria and to ask questions on his manifesto
