Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole, popularly known as Wolekanle, has described the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Hon. Folajinmi Oyekunle, in the Ibadan North federal constituency bye-election as a resounding confirmation of Governor Seyi Makinde’s impactful policies and good governance.
Akinwole said the outcome of the election reflected the trust and confidence the people of Oyo State have in the leadership style of Governor Makinde. He noted that the PDP’s triumph was not a stroke of luck, but the result of consistent delivery of people-oriented programmes and projects across the state.
While congratulating Hon. Oyekunle on his victory, the commission chairman urged him to justify the mandate given to him by providing quality representation and advancing the interests of his constituents at the House of Representatives.
He further appealed to residents of Oyo State to sustain their support for the Makinde administration, stressing that with collective effort, the government will continue to deliver greater dividends of democracy.
