The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has scheduled an emergency meeting of its National Working Committee (NWC) for Tuesday, April 29, 2025. The meeting will take place at 12 PM at the NWC Hall located in Wadata Plaza, the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

Sources hinted that the primary agenda of the meeting will address the recent wave of defections of PDP members to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Additionally, discussions may include potential mergers with other political parties to strengthen the opposition against the ruling APC.

In recent months, the PDP has faced significant membership losses to the APC, leading to concerns that more members holding key political positions may soon follow suit. This meeting aims to strategize on retaining party loyalty and consolidating efforts against the ruling party.
