PDP Sets October 28 for Screening of National Convention Aspirants

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has scheduled the screening of all aspirants vying for various national offices ahead of its 2025 Elective National Convention for Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

According to a statement issued by the National Convention Organizing Committee (NCOC) and signed by its Chairman, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the screening exercise will take place at the NCOC Secretariat Conference Hall, Legacy House, Maitama, Abuja, beginning at 2 p.m.

The statement added that the Screening Appeal has been slated for Thursday, October 30, 2025, while Monday, October 27, 2025, remains the deadline for submission of completed Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms by all aspirants to the NCOC Secretariat.

To oversee the screening process, the party has constituted a 13-member Screening Committee chaired by Eyitayo Jegede (SAN), with Governor Mohammed L.S. Diri (SAN) serving as Deputy Chairman, and Asue Ighodalo, Esq. as Secretary.

Other members of the committee include Barr. Jacob Otorkpa (Deputy Secretary), Emmanuel Enoidem (SAN), H.E. Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Chief Mrs. Aduke Maina, Iyom Josephine Anenih, H.E. Chike Udenwa, Haj. Maryam Inna Ciroma, HM. Felix Hassan Hyat, HM. Zainab Maina, and Chinedu Nwachukwu (Member/Admin Secretary).

The NCOC urged all aspirants, critical stakeholders, and party members to take note of the dates and be guided accordingly as preparations intensify for the 2025 PDP Elective National Convention.
