Redeemer’s University Bolsters Corporate Affairs Team with Strategic Appointments
As part of its renewed strategic direction, Redeemer’s University has strengthened its Corporate Affairs Directorate with the appointment of two seasoned professionals to bridge the communication gap between the university and its stakeholders.
Announcing the development, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shadrach Olufemi Akindele, FFAN, FFFPS, stated that the appointments were necessitated by the increasing demand for more robust internal and external communication strategies that can effectively spotlight the university’s achievements and ongoing developments.
“We have come a long way in pursuing our vision of excellence in academic and societal impact. However, there is more ground to cover. As a university, we can no longer be silent about our achievements, laurels, accolades, and success stories that have distinguished us as a world-class citadel of learning,” Professor Akindele noted. He added that while Redeemer’s University continues to make statements through its research outputs, innovations, and breakthroughs in genomics, these feats have remained under-reported and deserve wider recognition.
Joining the team is Mr. Paul Omorogbe, a Senior Corporate Affairs Officer (New Media), who brings over 16 years of media experience across South Africa, Egypt, and the United Kingdom. His expertise spans journalism, public relations, corporate communications, and social media management. He has previously served in various editorial capacities including Features Editor and Online News Editor.
Also appointed is Mr. Sunday Raphael Adeoye as Senior Corporate Affairs Officer in charge of Creative Designs. Adeoye boasts over eight years of experience in education-sector communications, brand management, and visual design. He is proficient in tools such as CorelDRAW, Photoshop, and Canva, and is expected to lead impactful design strategies to enhance the university’s brand visibility.
The appointments mark a new chapter in Redeemer’s University’s communication strategy, aimed at deepening stakeholder engagement and promoting the institution’s global image.
