The Youth in Parliament Forum (YIPF) of the 10th National Assembly has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cawin Mobility Limited to provide free training for 2,000 Nigerian youths on electric vehicle (EV) maintenance, engineering, and repairs.
Chairman of the Young Parliamentarians Forum, Hon. Olamijuwonlo Ayodeji Alao-Akala (JP), who announced the partnership, described the initiative as a welcome development that would open up the EV market in Nigeria and position young Nigerians as experts in the emerging field of green mobility.
The lawmaker representing Ogbomoso North South and Oriire Federal Constituency noted that equipping young people with skills in electric vehicle engineering would help tackle unemployment while boosting the nation’s economy.
“By training our youth in this line of business, we are opening up the Nigerian economy, addressing the challenge of unemployment, and positioning our nation to compete favorably in the emerging green economy,” Alao-Akala said.
The lawmaker added that the collaboration would not only empower youths but also create a new generation of innovators and job creators who will drive Nigeria toward a more sustainable and technologically advanced future
