The Speaker ,Oyo State House of Assembly Rt. Honourable Michael Adeyemo has called on community leaders and stakeholders in the society to stop defending and shielding people arrested by security agencies for criminal activities.

Hon Adeyemo while speaking at the plenary on the matter of urgent public important raised by Hon Kehinde Subair on the incessant attack on residents of isaleosi. Popoyemoja, Gege and other community in Ibadan noted that some of the youth who are terrorising the communities are agents that are being used by some unscrupulous elders in the society.

He frown at the incessant attack on the communities in Ibadan and appeal to the security agencies to be more effective in arresting and prosecuting anybody involved in the disturbance of public peace.

In his presentation, Hon Subair , the majority leader said it is worrisome that some youths are taking the advantage of carnival to unleash terror on innocent residence of the community.
Speaking on the last Sunday incident in Ibadan. Subair said several means of livelihood were destroyed by the hoodlums and many people sustained various degrees of injury from the attacks

He however urge the House to direct the committee on security to invite traditional rulers. Religious leaders, organizers of the carnival and DPO Mapo police station and other stakeholder for proper questioning so as to avoid reoccurrence of such thing

In his contribution, Hon Fati Adesina representing Ibadan south east constituency 1 said lasting solution should be provide through engaging the youths in meaningful jobs and dialogue
Hon Wahab from Oluyole urge the government should ban carnival in those crisis ridden area so that the hoodlums who are taken advantage of the carnival to perpetrate evil.
The House also deliberate on the issue of proper funding of local government which was raised by Hon Wasiu Akinboyede Olafisoye a member of Lagelu local government
Akinmoyede argues that salary of local government workers should be priorities like that of primary school teachers.
