A glance into the present and the nearest future of Oyo state politics is already in a transparent and opaque image depending on the trajectory of the viewer.

Factors distinguishing the chaff from wheat in the political space is although not limited to consistency, clear vision, purpose driven quest, steadfastness and carriage required for the task,it involves willingness to genuinely serve and availability to the people.

Very crucial to me just ahead of the 2023 general elections is the fate of Oyo south senatorial district and the chances of the All Progressives Congress, Apc.

Yes,I Know it is time to witness a lot of politicking.

Meanwhile, many of these juganolts have remained dormant, indecisive or hostile to the party, stakeholders or the electorates, especially after they may have lost previous political bids at different levels.

Yoruba is so rich in culture to have come by the adage” O sagi logbe,o ta oguro lofa, ode idi ope ogbenu soke, ofe lon ro ni”? Meaning you can not reap where you did not sow .

I look at many aspirants that have demonstrated interest,I have found most of them wanting either by giving back to the society or by questionable party activities .

As the 2023 electioneering gathers momentum, for many people, among whom I am, one man who has raised the bar and has indeed demonstrated the true type of people oriented politics that should be a yardstick for other politicians is the man called DR FOLA AKINOSUN.

Dr Fola Akinosun, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC in Oyo State, is a strong political figure and a leading aspirant among other contenders.

Fola Akinosun is a successful business man,a politician with high pedigree and developmental ideology.

Many have now gathered at the dining table of Oyo south senatorial district to eat.

I recently stumbled on a social media post which attempts to rate some of those vying for the legislative seat of Oyo south senatorial district.

I love the analogy of a glass cup filled with water to the middle of the container. Two people were asked to describe the cup,one said it was half filled, the other described it as half empty.

The lesson from the above is that people have different views on the same issues.

Akinosun is known for his intelligence; being a scholar who combined his academic qualifications with native intelligence as well as high moral standards to achieve goals.

Undoubtedly, as humble, peaceful, accommodating and resilient, the man called Fola Akinosun is also bold, fearless and firm; these qualities he demonstrated during the 2019 APC Oyo south senatorial party primaries when he slogged it out with the then governor of Oyo state, the Late Senator Abiola Ajimobi.

When others seemed not to be confident and bold enough to face the lion, Akinosun entered the ring, shoulder high and fought a good fight.

With his political engagements and active participation since 2010 when he joined active politics, He contested Oyo south ticket of the APC in 2015, but Sen. Soji Akanbi was opportuned .
Dr Fola Akinosun is at the moment the most experienced among the rest in the Oyo South senatorial race.

He is one of the few aspirants under APC whose relationship cut across all groups within the party.

His top notch philanthropic gesture, not limited to the educational scholarship where over fifteen thousand children of the vulnerable have benefitted and empowerment of the widow were unprecedented for someone like Dr Akinosun who has never occupied any elective or political post.

The korukoru, Yemetu Ibadan born politician and philanthropist, is a grassroot political stalwart and is loved by the masses just because of his listening ear, compassion .
