“The situation at the third tier of government in Oyo state today leaves much to be desired. Things have taken a new turn for the worse and there is no denying the fact that local
government council administration is comatose in Oyo state as things stand today. From Agodi-
Gate to lgangan… Okeho to Igbeti… Ikoyi-lle to Ojongbodu.. Moniya back to Iwo-Road in Ibadan, our council Secretariats have all become a shadow of themselves owing to the fact that no serious
government business takes place again in these places. Most council staff are idle while the so called elected officials do nothing to justify their status. The reason for this is not far-fetched”
“The present PDP administration of Gov. Seyi Makinde does not believe in the third tier of government being pivotal to the development of the grassroots.”
“The state government feasts on
the monies accrued to the 33 Councils and this has been the story since May 29, 2019. This time
Found, we are saying; “Enough is Enough!”. Illegal removal of money from local government accounts”
Speaking on the selected candidates, Okunlade added that’ “we painstainkingly selected these ones because of their character and credibility and we urge members of our party to please encourage and work assiduously to ensure their victory.
He added that there campaign process will start in all the local government where all voters will be sensitise and duely informed about our programs and plans for the development of local government
