The Member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Folajinmi Oyekunle, has appointed 49 aides to support his legislative and constituency responsibilities.
The development has been commended by Honorable Timothy Olufemi, who described the appointments as a demonstration of inclusive leadership and strong grassroots engagement in line with the vision of Governor Seyi Makinde.
Hon. Olufemi particularly applauded the lawmaker for ensuring the inclusion of persons with disabilities among the appointees, noting that the gesture reflects the inclusive governance philosophy being promoted by the Makinde administration.
According to him, the composition of the aides underscores a commitment to equity, fairness and broad-based representation, while reinforcing the belief that persons with disabilities should not be marginalised but actively involved in governance and community development.
“This deliberate inclusion of persons with disabilities mirrors the values of fairness, accessibility and equal opportunity that Governor Seyi Makinde has consistently promoted across Oyo State,” Olufemi said.
He added that the appointments would strengthen grassroots engagement, improve communication and feedback between constituents and their representative, and deepen public confidence in leadership.
Hon. Olufemi also urged other public office holders to emulate Hon. Oyekunle by adopting inclusive policies that align with the governor’s people-centred approach to governance.
He congratulated the newly appointed aides and encouraged them to discharge their duties with dedication, integrity and a strong sense of responsibility to the people.
