The Oyo State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has directed all newly elected ward and local government executives across the state to immediately commence full party activities.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, October 15, and signed by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Micheal Ogunsina, the PDP instructed that all executives at the ward and local government levels begin active engagement with members and stakeholders in their respective areas.
Ogunsina said the move is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure and ensure effective coordination across the state.
He added that all Local Government Party Chairmen are expected to convene their first official meetings before the end of October as part of the reactivation process.
The statement further noted that Senatorial Chairmen in the three senatorial districts of the state have been mandated to monitor and ensure full compliance with the directive.
“We expect all newly elected officers to take up their responsibilities immediately and begin the task of strengthening the party structure across the state,” Ogunsina said.
The party also urged all political office holders under the PDP platform in Oyo State to cooperate and work harmoniously with the new executives in the interest of unity and progress.
“Every political office holder must align with the new executives to consolidate the achievements of our great party and ensure continued dominance across the state,” the statement added.
