The Oyo State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) has commended the Vice-Chancellor of Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Oyo, Prof. Ebunoluwa Olufemi Oduwole, on the completion of her first 100 days in office, describing her leadership as visionary, purposeful and people-oriented.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Oyo NULGE President, Comrade Ayobami Olusegun Adeogun, said the union considered it important to celebrate the Vice-Chancellor in recognition of the remarkable strides recorded by the university within a short period under her administration.
Adeogun noted that Prof. Oduwole’s assumption of office on October 1, 2025, as the first female Vice-Chancellor of Ajayi Crowther University marked a historic milestone, adding that her performance within the first 100 days has justified the confidence reposed in her by the university’s Governing Council.
He said the union was particularly impressed by the Vice-Chancellor’s 30-point agenda, which he described as a well-articulated roadmap for sustainable growth and institutional excellence. According to him, the disclosure that over 70 per cent of the agenda had been addressed within her first 100 days reflects effective leadership, strategic planning and strong administrative competence.
The NULGE president further lauded the visible improvements recorded across academic development, infrastructure, staff welfare, strategic partnerships and internally generated revenue, noting that the university’s increasing national and international visibility is a testament to the proactive and reform-driven approach of the current management.
Adeogun, an alumnus of Ajayi Crowther University with both first and second degrees in Economics, said the achievements of the Vice-Chancellor were a source of pride to the university community and its alumni.
NULGE extended its best wishes to Prof. Oduwole for a successful and impactful tenure, praying for wisdom, strength and good health as she continues to steer the affairs of the institution.
The union also expressed confidence that the Vice-Chancellor’s administration would sustain the current momentum and deliver lasting reforms that will further position Ajayi Crowther University as a leading faith-based institution of higher learning in Nigeria and beyond.
