There are clear indications that the rescheduled local government election may hold in April 2018
The election which was scheduled to hold in 2017 february was suspended sequel to a litigation by some local government in Oyo
An inside source told our reporter that efforts are ongoing by the state independent Electoral Commission to conduct the election
“ We are just waiting for court verdict on the matter as soon as the coast is clear, necessary information will be made available to the public”
It was also gathered that the state governor Senator Ajimobi has been holding series of meeting with the INEC management and the major discussion at the meeting is the modalities which the election will take.
