The Oyo State House of Assembly on Thursday approved the appointment of Brig Gen Ajibola Kunle Togun (rtd) and Col. Bisiriyu Olayinka Olayanju (rtd) as Chairman and Commander of Oyo State Security Network Agency code named “Amotekun”.
The approval followed the presentation of the report of the house Committee on Security and Strategy that screened the appointees last week Tuesday.
The report read by the Committee Chairman, Hon Akeem Obadara, Ibadan North West had found the Chairman and Commander of Oyo State Amotekun Corps appointable in view of their professional training and experience and having answered the questions posed to them satisfactorily.
The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Adebo Ogundoyin who presided over the plenary said the house approved the appointment of the two persons to ensure that the coordination of activities and affairs of the security outfit in the state is entrusted in the hands of competent and qualified security personnel and experts
