The Chairman of the Oyo State Internal Revenue Service, Mr Olufemi Adebowale Awakan, has congratulated Governor Seyi Makinde on his re-election for another four-year term by the good people of the state.
Awakan, in a statement made available to journalists on Wednesday, stated that Governor Makinde ran on competence and track records, saying his emergence as the winner of the Saturday’s governorship election in the state was not a fluke.
He said the re-election is a reaffirmation of confidence on people of Oyo in Makinde’s administration in the state since 2019.
Awakan said the plethora of milestones he has recorded as the helmsman in the state has endeared the people to opt for continuity with a larger hope of more meaningful development across all sectors of the economy in the state.
He said: “Governor Makinde’s re-election no doubt is a reaffirmation that he enjoys a deep-rooted confidence of the people whom he has served in the past four years as their governor.”
“He is a clear testimony to the fact that PDP parades the best governor who has gone ahead to demonstrate capacity, character and competence in his capacity.
