Oyo State government has announced its plans to enumerate properties across the thirty-three (33) local government and thirty-five 35 Local Council Development Areas.
The State Government added that this will help to have an accurate data base for the issuance of title documents and would expedite the processes of getting Land title documents
Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Barrister Abiodun Abdu-Raheem stated this during a sensitization programme for zonal Land officers across the 33 local government and 36 LCDA’s of the state organized by the Consultant handling the processing of Certificate of Occupancy (C of O).
Barrister Abiodun said enumeration of houses which would last for a period of 60 days would provide a comprehensive database of properties in the State, adding that this would help in the speedy issuance of title document.
He called on citizens of the state not to panic when they see Enumerators taking the front pictures of their houses, as they are working under the supervision of the ministry of lands, Housing and Urban Development.
The Consultant, Otunba Abiola Odunowo while speaking on the new modalities of getting Land Title documents advised citizens of Oyo State with Landed Properties to apply for the New Home Owners’ Charter which has the same qualities as the C of O and can be processed easily and affordably.
