Oyo FIBAN Applauds Gov Makinde on  New Bus Gift to The Association

The Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria ( FIBAN) Oyo State Chapter has applauded the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde over the fulfilment of the governor’s promises mostly on the donation of a 18-seaters brand new bus to the Association.

According to the statement issued by Ambassador Taiwo Oguntoye, the S.A Media and Publicity to FIBAN State Chairman, Comrade Oluseun Awodele where Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde was described as a promise keeper and a blessing to Broadcasters, residents and citizens of the State.

His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde who reinstated that he is in office to serve the state and her citizens during the bus presentation without any sentiment but complete dedication to serving humanity.

Also, Senator Dr. Monsurat Sunmonu in her remark prayed for the continuous God’s protection for the governor and the state while she admonished FIBAN not to relent in propagating the truth with the use of the bus. She confessed that in her recent cordial relationship with FIBAN, she has discovered that the professional association stands by the truth always.

Comrade Oluseun Awodele was quoted while receiving the keys to the bus that Governor Makinde is a promise keeper. According to him, “We are so excited and glad to receive this great gesture from His Excellency as a fulfilment of the promises made to FIBAN Oyo State. Earlier this year during the official courtesy visit to the governor to express our displeasure over the disengagement of FIBAN members from the State Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS). The governor promised to review the issues surrounding the sacking of FIBAN members from BCOS within few weeks and His Excellency fulfilled it expressly. Also, we are experiencing the fulfilment of the promise of a bus to the Association today as well.

” Today is a memorable day in the history of FIBAN Oyo State chapter as a professional body to have received this great gift from our grand patron as our constitution lets us understand that any governor that comes on board is our grand patron”.

While promising continuous support for this administration, Comrade Awodele said “We will always support this administration through our contents as our members cover 85 percentage of the broadcasting contents on radio and television” he concluded.

In his vote of thanks, Aare Olalomi Amole who is the first National President of FIBAN, salutes the virtues of Senator Sunmonu who served as the link to the governor while praising Governor Makinde, he admonished his Excellency to continue with his good deeds.

Present at the official presentation of the bus to the association were the association grand matron Rt. Hon. Monsurat Sunmonu, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, SA on Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Wale Azeez, Chief Press Secretary, Mr Taiwo Adisa, Oyo FIBAN State Executive members, FIBAN BOT, Bashorun Gboyega Lawal, Alhaji Olalomi Amole, Igwu Komolafe Olaiya, Chief Bayo Sangotiku, Chief Akingboade Ologbodo, Pastor Kehinde Aberuagba, Asiwaju Wale Lawal, Mama Bisi Kofo Adenuga, Elder Femi Ologburo, Elder Ogundugba Akano, Olori Yetunde Amb. Kehinde Oguntoye SA on Special duty & Strategy to Oyo State FIBAN Chairman among others.
