The community of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Oyo State and across Nigeria has congratulated Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi on his historic installation as the Okanlomo Oodua by the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II.
In a statement signed by the Director-General of the Oyo State Agency for Persons with Disabilities, Barrister Ayodele Adekanmbi, the PWD community described the honour as a well-deserved recognition of Chief Sanusi’s unwavering commitment to Yoruba cultural preservation, national development, and exemplary leadership.
Adekanmbi noted that the prestigious title further affirms Chief Sanusi’s legacy as a bridge-builder and advocate of unity and progressive development. He said the installation holds special significance for persons with disabilities, given Sanusi’s longstanding compassion, personal interventions, and continuous support for PWDs, particularly in Ona Ara Local Government.
“Your consistent generosity and commitment to uplifting our people reflect your genuine humanity and inclusive spirit,” the statement read. “Your elevation reinforces our belief that leadership and service know no physical limitations, and that inclusive excellence remains the bedrock of a just society.”
The PWD community prayed that Chief Sanusi’s tenure as Okanlomo Oodua would usher in greater wisdom, strength, peace, and prosperity for the Yoruba nation and Nigeria at large.
They congratulated him once more, expressing confidence that his new role would further inspire impactful service to humanity.
