The Oyo State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of Hon. Akinwale Akinwole, popularly known as Wolekanle, as Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, along with four others.
The confirmed members are Yusuff Alli Akinkunmi, Alhaji Taiwo Oke, John Abisoye Adisa and Mrs. Nike Arewa.
The confirmation followed the presentation of the screening report by Hon. Sola Owolabi, which recommended the approval of the nominees.
The Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, moved a motion for the adoption of the report, which was unanimously approved by the lawmakers.
Recall that Governor Seyi Makinde had nominated five individuals for the roles on April 28.
