The State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Chief Isaac Ishola, has appealed to the good people of Oyo State to Continue their unflinching support for the efforts of the government in improving the public health status trough maintenance of good hygiene and environmental sanitation in Oyo state.

The Commissioner made this appeal during the National Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise in Ibadan on Saturday, where he urged people to imbibe the culture of cleanliness.
According to a press statement signed by the Media Officer Atilola Abiodun, The commissioner urged the general public to stop disobedience to the environmental sanitation exercise in the State, noting that whoever that disobeys in observing environmental sanitation exercise between the stipulated hours would be arraigned before the mobile court for proper sanctions.
In his own remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Pastor Gabriel Oguntola reiterated further that a good environment will attract investors leading to industrial and commercial development of the State, adding that the Ministry will not relent in its efforts to ensure that people comply strictly with the environmental regulations within the State.
Accompany the Commissioner during the sanitation exercise were the Special Adviser to the Governor on Community Relations Mr. Murisiku Siyanbade, Permanent Secretary Pastor Gabriel Oguntola and the Directors in the Ministry.
