Reconciliation Committee set up by the the Oyo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday held her inaugural meeting in Ibadan
The Committee was set innaugurated Deputy National Chairman (South), Senator Abiola Ajimobi, inaugurated a peace committee to reconcile aggrieved members of the party in Oyo State on 25th of March 2020.
The meeting which was held at State Secretariat Oke Ado was attended by chairman Former Governor Otunba Alao-Akala and other members of the committee including Prince Gbade Lana (secretary), Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin, Alhaji Kamar Ajisafe, and Pa Akin Ojebode
Other members includes Alhaji Laide Abass, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, Hon Segun Odebunmi, Niran Alarape, Mojeed Olaoya, Isiaka Areokuta, Mabel Williams, Chief S.M. Akindele, Adefisoye Adekanye and Rasaq Arikewuyo.
The state chairman Chief Akin Oke, after inaugurating the 16-member Committee, issued letter of nomination for reconciliation committee to each member.
A member of the committee Hon Segun Dokun Odebunmi expresses optimism that the committee will achieve desired result and return the party to government in 2023
” As a party, we cannot rule out challenges and grievances but what makes us more matured is ability to bury our hatchet and move on without any bickering so that we can quickly achieve our focus”
” We are not going to leave any stone unturned in bring back everybody back into the party and speak with one voice
Odebunmi who represents Member of House of Reps Caucus on the platform however urge the aggrieved party members to corporate with the committee”.
