A former House of Representatives aspirant of the All Progressive Congress (APC), from Oluyole Federal Constituency in Ibadan, Oyo State, an entrepreneur and a Civil Society Activist, Comrade Oladimeji Odeyemi, has welcome, a retired and well decorated Army Colonel, a philanthropist and a reputable businessman, Dr Gbenga Adegbola into the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Oyo State while also calling for a political power shift to the Oke Ogun zone of Oyo State come 2027 gubernatorial elections in the pace setter state.
Comrade Oladimeji Odeyemi, an entrepreneur and notable indigene of Ibadan, made this assertion in a personal statement made available to journalists on Wednesday.
He described the All Progressives Congress chieftain, Dr Gbenga Adegbola as a disciplined, visionary, and development-driven leader with the capacity to transform Oyo State if given the needed support by party faithfuls and the general populace in Oyo State.
According to him, the time has come for Oke Ogun, a zone with a rich history and untapped potential, to take the helm of leadership in the state. He said the region has long been underrepresented in the political equation of the state and deserves a shot at the top seat.
“Oke Ogun has some of the most competent and capable individuals in Oyo State, and Dr Gbenga Adegbola stands out as one of them. He represents integrity, security, competence, and grassroots connection,” Odeyemi said.
He urged stakeholders across the state, especially youths and progressive forces, to rally behind Adegbola’s in his political foray which is centered on the people’s welfare, adding that if given the necessary support and solidarity, his leadership will prioritize equity, economic growth, and inclusive governance.
