Oyo 2019: We’ve Issued Notice of Quit to APC – ADC

African Democratic Congress ADC, Oyo state chapter said it has served the ruling All Progressives Congress APC quit notice in Ibarapa and Oyo state entirely .

The Director of Public Communication, New Media and Tertiary Institution for Senator Olufemi Lanlehin Campaign Organization (SOLANCO), Engineer Akeem Olatunji who stated this in a press statement said “the need to replace the All Progressives Congress, APC-led Oyo State government as a means of ending the state’s multifarious problems was the highlight of the Ibarapa zonal rally of African Democratic Congress, ADC, gubernatorial campaign inEruwa, Oyo State, yesterday.

According to him, The Director General of the Lanlehin/Alaran Campaign Organisation, Architect Bashiru Lawal, who lead the team said the APC-led government had failed to deliver on all its 2015 campaign promises, all facet of governance and need to be voted out”

“People are dying of hunger because the economy has gone terribly bad due to nonpayment of workers as at when due. The hunger is serious in the State today. Oyo State is invariably becoming the world’s poverty capital.”

He maintained that the state need a governor that will fix the economy, create jobs, improve education, boost agriculture and constructrural roads and pay attention to the plight of Ogbomoso, Ibarapa and Okeogun zones.

“This APC government must go because events of the past seven and half years have shown that they don’t have solutions to all these problems. We must vote this government out and elect Lanlehin as our next Governor. My people of Ibarapa, we must vote out APC, Lanlehin is solution to Oyo State’s problems.”

ADC gubernatorial candidate, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin while addressing the mamoth crowd lamented that the State had gone worse under the APC, hence the need to provide an alternative administration that could make things work in the State again

“They promised us job, prompt payment of salaries, free and qualitative education, qualitative healthcare and to improve the economy but in each of these,they failed. It is time for our people to vote ADC to power because it is the only party with the interest and welfare of the masses as her focal points.”

“Today, in terms of the government workers welfare and most especially the tertiary institutions staffs, Oyo State wirkers are the poorest in the world going by the nonpayment of their salaries up to 12 months and above in some cases. It is disheartening that Ibarapa land with 3 tertiary institutions have experienced worst treatment in terms of infrastructures, lecturers welfare and academic environment for the students.”

He said further that “As at today, our schools are in dilapidated conditions with morale of teachers at her lowest ebb, Oyo State came 26th in the recently released NECO results out of the 33 States in the country, these are incontrovertible facts which negated the pacesetter’s status Oyo State is known for before the advent of Ajimobi led administration.”

” The state of roads linking ibarapa and other areas of Oyo State are terribly bad and this is affecting transportation of farmproducts and it is making the farmers to run at losses due to exorbitant charges by the transporters.”

Lanlehin also alleged plans by the APC to buy permanent voters cards, PVCs, from people as a way of perpetrating electoral fraud however urged Nigerians to guard against the plan so as not to mortgage their future.

Present at the rally was Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Sen Rilwan Olusoji Akanbi, The State Chairman of ADC, Dr Hamed, State Secretary, Alh Wasiu Emiola, former Deputy Governor, Alh Hameed Gbadamosi, Senator Gbenga Babalola, Chief Ayansina, Pa Lanihun StateVice Chairman (South), Hon Abiodun Adedoja Ekolo, State Women Leader, Mrs Funmilayo Arulogun, State Youth Leader, Mr Giwa, State PRO, Adedapo Ademola, State Organizing Secretary, ADC House of Representative Candidates, ADC House of Assembly Candidates.

Olatunji also hinted that the campaign train of The campaign train of Sen Lanlehin will move to Oyo Zone on Saturday 5/1/19
