Oyo 2019: Alao Akala, Others Set to Dump APC

There are clear indications that the Former Governor of Oyo state, Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala will be leading his supporters and some aggrieved members out of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

The movement according to a source is in protest of their grieviances against imposition of candidates in APC.

Unconfirmed report disclosed that Akala may be declaring for Action Democratic Party ADP anytime soon.

Otunba Akala who joined APC in 2016 was officially recieved into the party by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other party bigwigs in Ibadan.

He fell out with Senator Abiola Ajimobi when he realized his ambition of succeeding him cannot be realized in the APC.

The former governor was said to also met with his former boss, Senator Rashidi Ladoja a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress ADC with the intention if securing the party ticket or harmonizing to work together but it seems the plans did not work out as expected.

It would be recalled that Otunba Akala contested the gubernatorial election in 2015 under the Labour Party, the party which he joined after he was rigged out from PDap
