He noted that beyond his political aspirations, his commitment to this program was largely motivated from his self experience.

He recalled that as a young boy of school age his mother struggled to put his eyes in good shape and improve his vision at a huge cost to the family purse. It was only natural that I replicate this good in as many others as God gives capacity because the eyes are the window of the soul and a source of vision. Nobody deserves to go blind for avoidable, preventable or treatable causes. Jide enthused.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the occasion and APC Oyo South Senatorial Chairman, Hon. Adefisoye Adekanye applauded the project initiator and expressed his delight that a political hopeful prioritized public need over his aspiration. He therefore urged the people of Ibadan Northeast and SouthEast Federal constituency to entrust Jide Adeyemi with more responsibilities because he has proven a trusted and reliable hands who is well connected to their needs.

Doctors from the Community Eye Outreach Unit, University College Hospital, Ibadan headed by Mrs Toyin Adeleke also gave lectures on how to care for the eyes and the need to seek early medical attention and diagnosis when in doubt about their eyes condition.

The program had in attendance the mother of the benefactor, Madam Abigail Adeyemi. Other notable guests present include Alhaji Mufutau Abass Gbayawu, Hon. Lekan Afuye, Prince Gbade Lana, Hon. Kehinde Oloya, Hon. SK Popoola, Hon. Waheed Ambali, Baba Rafiu Olowo Adekile, Hon. Rasaq Ekundayo, Hon. Ganiyu Adeyemi, Hon. Olu Abiola and a host of others
