NOT fewer than 1,000 colourful masquerades will perform in the 2019 edition of Oladunwoo Festival, in Okemesi-Ekiti, Ekiti State tomorrow
Director-General of the Ekiti State Council for Arts and Culture, Amb. Wale Ojo-Lanre, disclosed this in a brief chat with journalists on in Ado-Ekiti on Friday (today).
Ojo-Lanre, who described Ekiti State as a paragon of arts and culture, which if well harnessed and would boldly write the name of the state on the world culture map, disclosed that the vision of our Governor Kayode Fayemi is to rejuvenate, showcase and promote the cultural values of Ekiti to the whole world.
“Governor Fayemi is determined to rejuvenate, showcase and promote the cultural values of Ekiti to the whole world, and he is leaving no stone unturned to achieved this. As a result, he has promised to give us necessary moral and financial empowerment to pursue and achieve this,” Ojo-Lanre said.
The Ekiti Council for Arts and Culture boss disclosed that machinery has been put in place by the organisers of Oladunwoo Festival and the Council to ensure an historic and most peaceful edition of the festival this year
