OPU Brazil Pay Homage to Aare Gani Adams in Lagos

Representatives of Oodua Progressive Union OPU Brazill Chapter last week pay homage to the 15th Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land, Iba Abiodun Ige Adams at his Omole phase II residence in Lagos.

OPU is a socio- cultural association of yoruba people in the Diaspora, it was formed with the intention of promoting Yoruba cultural heritage and unity among the Yorubas abroad

The courtesy visit which was led by some of the top Union’s executive was to further appreciate Aare Gani Adams for his contributions to the socio cultural development of Yorubaland

During the visit, the South America Coordinator, Amb Ogunlowo Abiola delivering document and video presented of the event organized by Yoruba decendant union in collaboration with Members of the Oodua Progressive Union Ecuador (OPU) to Iba Abiodun Ige Adams.

Iba Gani Adams while welcoming them salute their courage and determination to promote yoruba culture and tradition in foreign lands

Adams who is the Convener of the diaspora union however urged them to be more united, and remain committed to the task before them.

Members in presence are the OPU South America Coordinator, Ogunlowo Abiola – Coker , OPU Saopaulo Chapter Coordinator Comrade Babatunde Obey , Comrade Ganiyat Titilope Fadeyi (Organising Secretary ) and some other friends, including the OPU Ireland chapter Coordinator, Comrade Tayo Ogedengbe and others
