The senator representing Ondo south senatorial district in the national assembly, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, has vowed to work assiduously for the victory of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in this Saturday’s governorship election in Ondo state.
Senator Ibrahim gave the reassurance on Sunday while addressing his Aseyori group at his yet-to-be-inaugurated Fortune University Igbotako in Okitipupa council area.
Addressing leaders and members of the Aseyori group, Ibrahim seized the opportunity to clear the air of any rumour as he openly pledged his allegiance to the APC and commitment to the victory of Governor Aiyedatiwa, whom he described as “a perfect gentleman”
He directed the Aseyori group to intensify their efforts in canvassing votes for the governor to enable him continue in office beyond 2025.
Corroborating this position, chairman of the Aseyori group, Senator Tayo Alasoadura, said the group is a key political structure of Senator Ibrahim, adding that they will deliver massively for the APC in the election.
In his remarks, national chairman of APC, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, lauded the group members for their commitment and sense of coordination.
He said, “I am particularly happy to see that this group is ready to mobilize massively for the APC and support the continuity of the good programs already started by Governor Aiyedatiwa. I urge you all to come out to vote and stand by your votes on November 16 to ensure they are properly counted”
Speaking to the group, Ondo state governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who was represented by his deputy, Olayide Adelami, said the APC is the most united political party and that it would reflect in the outcome of this Saturday’s election.
He thanked Senator Ibrahim for his efforts, as he tasked members of the Aseyori group to continue to spread the progressive message of the APC to everyone in their respective communities.
“Please tell your friends, families and neighbors about the good works that we have started and also endeavor to look for your voters cards wherever they are kept.
“No doubt, the APC will definitely win this election but we must win resoundingly. It is important to get out to vote on November 16, which is this Saturday. So the good works can continue” the governor urged.
The event attracted political bigwigs in the APC, including members of the APC National Working Committee, Ondo State APC Chairman, Senator Yele Omogunwa, Princess Oladunni Odu, royal fathers, among others.
