Olympics: Eagles Will Not Disappoint Nigerians- Fatai Gbadamosi

After enjoying his debut with the Olympics Eagles in the 5 five all (5:0) win over Sudan, the Ex- Crown FC free kick expert and prolific midfielder who equally plied his trade in Turkey but currently with the Shooting Stars Sports Club, Ibadan , is optimistic that the Olympics Eagles will not disappoint Nigerians.

 

The most talked about attacking midfielder in the South West, who has scored fantastic goals via his Carlos-like free kick styles in the Nigeria league and his former Turkish side reaffirmed that the team will do their best not to disappoint Nigerians at the Under 23 AFCON .

“I thank God for the grace to wear the green white green jersey and also appreciate the coaches for this great privilege. We worked very hard and God crowned our efforts. The team is a very compact one with loyal and dedicated players who are ready to give in their best for the nation. I see us bringing the trophy to Nigeria at the tournament proper”, Badmus,as fondly called by his admirers told the Press in a telephone chat from his hotel room in Asaba.

On the five all victory against the North African side, he maintained that the Sudanese was a good side full of energy but they played to instructions , kept on the ball ,defended pretty well and banged in goals as the chances came.

On his chances of featuring in the tournament proper, Fatai Gbadamosi said he will not relent in putting in his very best and if given the chance to the tournament he will justify his inclusion in the squad.

“Wearing the Nigeria jersey is a dream come true and I will put in my very best,which will be enough, to ensure our target at the tournament is realised”, he said.

The Olympics Eagles have qualified Nigeria for the Under -23 AFCON on 5-1 aggregate and will be hoping to making the nation proud at the tournament proper scheduled for Egypt which will run through 8th and 22nd November, 2019.
