The final burial ceremonies for Deaconess Margaret Oyeronke Alao, the mother of the Olugbon of Orile-Igbon Oba Francis Alao, have been scheduled for February 27, 2025.

In a release by the monarch, the ceremonies will start with a service of songs on February 25. It will be followed by wake keep on 26 and ends with reception of guests on February 27, 2025. Only family members, excluding the monarch and his guests, will participate in the private interment program.

The ceremonies, according to the statement, will hold at the Majesty Naturel Resort, Ogbomoso-Ilorin Road, Orile-Igbon.

Mama Alao died on November 15, 2024 after a brief illness. She was 81 years old.

Oba Alao is the second child of the deceased. Mama Alao was a devout Christian who spent her active years in the work of ministry, working with her late husband, Pastor Amos Alao.

They both served as priests with the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) until the times of their passage. Pastor Alao slept in the Lord over 12 years ago.

According to the monarch, his parents pastored churches in several cities and communities including Akure, Osogbo and Ogbomoso.
