The Olowo of Owo and Paramount Ruler of Owo Land, His Imperial Majesty, Alayeluwa, Oba (Dr) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, on behalf of all the people of Owo, has congratulated Chief Olayide Owolabi Adelami, mni, on his appointment as the Deputy Governor of Ondo State by the Governor, His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
Oba Ogunoye, in his felicitations signed and released by his Special Assistant Media, Sam Adewale, said that the news of the appointment got to him and the entire kingdom with utmost pleasure and satisfaction.
Alayeluwa disclosed that the import of the identification of Chief Amuwagboye of Owo Kingdom for this exalted Office by the Governor, is a confirmation of the qualities inherent in Dr. Adelami, and the attestation to the fact that this great kingdom boasts of many indigenes that are competent, qualified and readily available for leadership positions in any field of human endeavour.
In the same vein, His Majesty, while praying for the success of the new Administration, expressed his gratitude to His Excellency, the Governor for the consideration and honour extended to the Kingdom over the appointment of one of her illustrious sons as Deputy with firm belief that Dr Adelami will serve with the fear of God, due diligence and absolute adherence to the tenets of good governance which Owo is known for.
Kabiyesi concluded by congratulating the good people of Owo in this respect. He prayed with the hope that more of our sons and daughters will be identified for leadership positions in the State, and by the Federal Government
