Chieftain of All progressives Congress APC in Oyo state Enginer Rauf Aderemi Olaniya has urge Muslims to imbibe the selfless act of Prophet Ibrahim (SWT) whose willingness to sacrifice his son demonstrated complete trust in Allah.
Olaniyan gave this admonition in his Eid-el-kabir message at interactive session with media, after the eid-kabir prayers at the Answarudeen prayer ground Igboho.
The gubernatorial hopeful noted that though things may seem tough at the moment, everyone should however have complete faith in Allah just as prophet Ibrahim (SWT) did. He noted that through prayers and hard work with the needed sacrifices, Nigeria will be great again.
He also enjoined Muslims to pray for the peace of the country and eschew every act or utterance that emphasizes our differences rather than the shared values that unite us as a people.
The former Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency boss and Chairman of The Engr. Raufu Aderemi Olaniyan foundation also reiterated the need for Muslims not to limit their care for the less privileged to just the festive season. Rather, they should continuously work towards being their brothers’ keepers at all times.
The All Progressive Congress gubernatorial hopeful called on all Nigerians to work with the present governmental administrations at all levels to take the country to greater heights, stressing that all should shun acts that could foster disunity, saying that our strength lies in our unity.
He expressed his gratitude to Allah and congratulated his Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari; members of All Progressives Congress; and the nation for the safe return of the President from his medical vacation. Lastly, he prayed that Allah grants the President good health to actualize his lofty ambitions for the country.
