The Chairman Nigerian National League Club Owners, Honourable Chidi Okonkwo has showered encomiums on the Clubs that participated in the first ever preseason tournament organized by NALCOMA
The tournament according to a statement signed by the secretary, Mr Kunle Oyeleye was organized in conjunction with the NIgeria National League and supported by the Plateau State Government from Saturday 30th September to Friday 6th October 2023.
Okonkwo said the tournament was a test run for the good show and improved outing expected in the 2023/2024 League Season .
While appreciating the participating Clubs, NNL Board and Staff, the experienced Technical study group headed by Jude Anyadufu, the host state and everyone with individual and corporate contribution that every support contributed to the immense success and color that attended the tournament.
He praised the special guests at the occasion especially The Governor of Plateau State Barrister Caleb Muftang represented by the Honourable Commissioner For Youth and Sports, Former House of Representatives Member Hon. Yahya Kwande , NNL Board Chairman and members and the new Chief Operating Officer Dr. Ayo Abdulrahaman among others.
He specially appreciated the Technical study team for the unmatched job done to every team by dishing technical instructions.
Chidi who doubles as the City Fc Abuja President assured that subsequent editions shall be more colorful and organized. He charged all teams that attended the tournament not to rest on their oars as the League commences on 28th August I’m October , that they should consolidate on the gains of the tournament for the League.
The high point of the tournament was the reasonable prizes doled out for superlative individuals and collective efforts at the tournament and promised to continue in like manners for subsequent editions.
Among the teams that graced the tournament are, City Fc Abuja, Crown Fc Ogbomoso, Mighty Jets Fc Jos, Abia Comet Fc Umuahia,Giant Brillas Fc Enugu and RahBam Fc , Jos.
