In a significant boost to his burgeoning 2027 gubernatorial campaign, Amofin Beulah Adeoye, the accomplished lawyer and financial forensic expert from Ipapo, Itesiwaju Local Government, received a powerful blessing and endorsement from the Oke-Ogun chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

The historic meeting, held on August 5th, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Ago-Are, Atisbo Local Government, marked a pivotal moment in Adeoye’s mission to break the perceived marginalization of the Oke-Ogun region in Oyo State’s top leadership.

For decades, the Oke-Ogun zone, comprising ten Local Governments, has felt relegated, often seeing its sons and daughters capped at the position of Deputy Governor.

Amofin Beulah Adeoye’s campaign is built on the promise of finally shattering this “glass ceiling.” Hailing from the heart of Oke-Ogun, Adeoye brings not just regional solidarity but a wealth of professional expertise. He passionately believes his background in law and financial forensics equips him uniquely to liberate Oke-Ogun’s potential while sustaining and enhancing development across the entire state by the help of God.

The Ago-Are meeting was strategically significant as a balanced consultation. It followed closely on the heels of Amofin Adeoye’s well-received engagement with the Oke-Ogun League of Imams and Islamic Scholars. This dual outreach underscores his commitment to inclusive governance and unity across the diverse religious fabric of Oke-Ogun and Oyo State.

Delegates from all the ten Oke-Ogun Local Government Areas filled the church, demonstrating the widespread regional interest in Adeoye’s ambition. The event commenced with a warm introduction by Rev. Dr. Stephen Awoleye, a close relation and kinsman of Amofin Adeoye. Rev. Awoleye meticulously presented Adeoye’s impressive profile, highlighting his integrity, competence, and deep-rooted commitment to service, firmly reassuring the congregation of the aspirant’s readiness and preparedness to lead.
Taking the stage to resounding applause, Amofin Beulah Adeoye formally declared his intention to run for Governor of Oyo State in 2027. He moved beyond rhetoric, offering concrete hints at his vision, particularly for Oke-Ogun and the state.

Amofin Adeoye’s presentation, profile, and evident sincerity resonated deeply with the CAN leadership and delegates. Demonstrating overwhelming satisfaction, the Oke-Ogun Christian body unanimously endorsed his gubernatorial ambition. The endorsement was sealed with a powerful prayer session, where men and women of faith fervently sought divine guidance and success for his political journey, symbolizing their wholehearted support.
Adding further momentum, representatives of the Oke-Ogun Food Supply Dealers Association, led by one of their Excos Mr John Oke, were also present. Expressly impressed by Adeoye’s articulated plans for revolutionizing the food supply chain and agricultural value addition within the region, the Association declared their “undiluted support” for his governorship bid. This endorsement from a critical economic sector underscores the practical appeal of Adeoye’s agricultural agenda.
