Organisers of the Okanlomo Oodua National Security Summit have announced the postponement of the summit earlier scheduled to hold from February 12 to 14, 2026, at Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The organisers said the postponement became necessary to allow for adequate logistical arrangements and to ensure the success of the event.

In a statement jointly signed by Okanlomo Oodua, Engr. Chief Dotun Sanusi, the Chief Host, and Mogaji Dr. Nurudeen Akinade, Coordinator of the Ibadan Compound Peace Initiative (ICPI), on behalf of the organising committee, it was disclosed that a new date would be communicated to stakeholders in due course.

According to the statement, the decision to shift the summit was taken to guarantee a well-organised and impactful engagement capable of effectively addressing prevailing security challenges across the region and the country at large.
