The management of Ogbomoso United FC has held a crucial strategic meeting as preparations intensify for the 2026 season of the Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO One).
With the new season fast approaching, the club’s leadership convened to deliberate on plans and strategies aimed at repositioning the team for greater success in 2026 and beyond.
According to a statement signed by the club secretary, Stephen Adetunji the meeting focused on strengthening the squad, improving management structures, and setting clear targets for the forthcoming campaign.
Speaking during the session, the Chairman of the club, Hon. Akinwale Solomon Akinwole Wolekanle, commended the management, coaching crew and players for their commitment and hard work so far. He, however, charged them to raise the bar and go all the way in making Ogbomoso proud in the upcoming season.
The Chairman particularly encouraged the coaching crew and management to provide opportunities for young, talented players who are both marketable and capable of delivering results on the pitch. According to him, investing in youth development remains key to building a formidable and sustainable team.
Hon. Wolekanle assured the club of his continued support, promising to put all necessary machinery in place to ensure the team’s success in the 2026 campaign.
In his remarks, the General Manager of the club expressed appreciation to the Chairman for his unwavering support over the past five years. He pledged that the management would take all necessary actions to assemble a competitive squad that the people of Ogbomoso would be proud to call their own.
