Ogbomoso South LG Boss , Oyedokun Oyeniyi Commissions Four Boreholes

In its efforts at making hygenic water available to the nooks and crannies of his council area, Executive Chairman, Ogbomoso South Local Government, Prince Oyedokun Oyeniyi Timothy commissioned another four  borehole projects on Thursday.

The people of Oke Olla/Farm settlement-ward 10, Isoko- ward 08, Alapata-ward 02 and Arowomole-ward 03 who trooped out enmass commended the Chairman, Oyedokun Oyeniyi for extending the gestures to them and fufilling parts of his campaign promises, especially in the area of provision of portable water.

Speaking at the commissioning, Oyedokun Oyeniyi who also donated generating sets alongside the newly drilled motorised boreholes said ” I made some promises during the campaign period, part of which I have been fulfilling. Some weeks ago we started grading of roads and dredging of rivers which is still ongoing.

Oyedokun according to a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Olufemi Ajiboye said “Please see this project as your own, work in harmony to maintain it so that when you need more, we will not hesitate to come to your aid.

In their separate remarks, speaking on behalf of the community where the boreholes were located, Mr Olawumi Gbenga and Alfa Muyiden Ayilara applauded the initiative as not only timely but also succor to them.

“We the people of this area would always remember what the Chairman has done for us, because water has been our major problem, especially during this dry season.

“We will adequately take care of these boreholes, as we also acknowledge our chairmans’s efforts last year which help in curtailing flood and sundry disasters through dredging of all the rivers in our environs, it gives us rest of mind whenever it rains that we are safe including our farms.”

Among dignitaries present at the commissioning includes, Head of Local Government Administration, Mrs Olabode Rachel, Apostle Moses Olamoyegun PDP Party Chairman Ogbomoso South, Mr Abduljelil Busari Secretary Ogbomoso South Local Government, Mr Rotimi Oladipupo Secretary Ogbomoso South West LCDA, Chief of Staff to the Chairman, Mr Folarin Sunday and Special Assistants to the Chairman.

Also in attendance were, Leader of the house , Hon Alao Tunji and other members of the legislature, Mr Amusan Damilare, Mr Dayo Fagbemi, Mr Jeremiah Adeyemo, Supervisory Councillors, party stalwarts among others.
