Ogbomoso Recreation Club Elects Executive Officers

Dr. Akinwumi Oladeji John Brown a financial expert and consultant has emerged as the President of Ogbomoso Recreation Club. Also elected as members of the Executive Committee of the Club are Architect Yemi Aremu as the Vice President, Professor Olatunji, the Secretary, Dr. Adeniran Atiba, Assistant Secretary, while Professor Jide Ajao emerged as the Sports Secretary.

Other officers elected are Shittu Kabir, Treasurer, Abdulrasheed Sanni Membership Secretary, while Engineer Ayokunu Oyeleye, messers Jimoh Adewale, and Olabode Olatunde emerged as Bar Secretary, Social/ Publicity, Financial Secretary respectively.

In his post election remarks, Dr. Oladeji John Brown acknowledged the resilience, commitments and sacrifice of the founding fathers of the Club , adding that they worked tirelessly to ensure that the Club is on a sound, strong and solid foundation to which all indegenes are proud of.

The President said he, alongside his team will work assiduously to improve and build up the legacies of the founding fathers.

He said the first major task of the team is to increase the membership status and this will be by encouraging indegenes in diaspora to join the Club.

According to him, the Executive Committee will establish a link and create a forum for indigenes in diaspora to be apprised of the programs of the Club as well as facilities therein, and once people see these , there would be encouraged to come on board.

He therefore called for the support and cooperation of all members, stressing that the task ahead of taking the Club to greater heights is a collective one which must be jointly achieved.
