The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State has continued its local government engagement series with a strategic meeting involving party leaders and stakeholders from Ogbomoso North Local Government Area.

Held at the party’s state secretariat in Molete, Ibadan, the meeting was presided over by the State Secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, and provided an avenue for party stakeholders to air grievances and address internal misunderstandings.
In a key resolution, the PDP leadership directed an end to factional groupings within the local party structure and called for unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party urged the Ogbomoso North Local Government PDP Chairman, Alhaji Hamzat, and the Council Chairman, Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade, to work in harmony for the collective interest of the party.
Stakeholders at the meeting unanimously reaffirmed their commitment to the PDP and pledged loyalty to Governor Seyi Makinde, who they described as the undisputed leader of the party in Oyo State.
Members of the State Executive Council in attendance included Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, Hon. Michael Ogunsina, Hon. Sunday Bankole, Hon. Oludayo Opatokun, Hon. Waheed Gbadegesin, Hon. Kunmi Adesina, and Pastor Biodun Popoola.
Prominent Ogbomoso North PDP leaders at the meeting were Hon. George Ogunlade, Hon. Bisi Oluranti, Engr. Mufatu Open Salau, Hon. Lanre Ladeji, Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole, Alhaji Hamzat, Alhaji Kabir Ayoade, Hon. Jide Oketumbi, Prof. Raphael Afonja, and Mrs. Bolanle, among others.
Leaders who were unavoidably absent but sent apologies included Alhaji Rasak Kareem Gbadegesin and Prince Dotun Oyelade.
