Ogbomoso Insight’s Publisher, Femi Ogunlana Loses Mum

Madam Ruth Adedutan Ogunlana. Nee Oke, mother of Mr Femi Ogunlana, publisher of The Insight newspaper and ogbomosoinsightonline.com is dead.

She passed away at the age of 79 in Ogbomoso.

Femi Ogunlana who announced her mother’s demise said “We are pained to announce the exit of our mother Mrs Ruth Ogunlana who passed away on Tuesday 17th January 2023.

“Her sudden exit was painful but we took solace in the fact that she lived a good life and her imprint in the sand of time will forever be in our memory

“She was a strong pillar of support to the immediate and extended family, even the old age did not deterred her from consistency in serving God and humanity she would be greatly missed”.

She is surved by Children and grand children

Ogunlana said the burial plans will be announced by the family soon.

Friends and family have began to condole with the Ogunlana over the demise of their matriarch.

The General Manager of Crown Football Club Ogbomoso, Mr Kunle Oyeleye has condoled with the family of Mr Femi Ogunlana, the publisher of Insight titles (The Insight newspaper and ogbomosoinsightonline.com), over the demise of their matriarch, Madam Ruth Adeduntan Ogunlana (nee Oke).
Mama was called to the lord on January 17 at the age of 79.

Oyeleye in the condolence message said, “Mama was for all of us in our early days as young journalists at her Adiatu residence in Ogbomoso North local government. Mama’s demise occurred on Tuesday 17th January, 2023.

“She encouraged us, welcomed us always and took care of us.

“We are solaced in the reality that she is survived by all her children and grand children.

“We pray for the children to be strong at the irreparable loss.

“Mama showed courage in the face of life challenges. We pray God to console and comfort the family. And we want to charge the children to take courage like Mama did during various challenges that reared their heads during her lifetime. Adieu.”
