The immediate past Chairperson of Ogbomoso Central Local Council Development Area Alhaja Omotayo Aremu popularly known as Rainbow has been commended for her meaningful impacts and contributions to the advancement of the council
The commendation was part of the goodwill messages by speakers at the send forth program organized on her honour on monday at Soun Ogunlola Hall Ogbomoso
The sent forth program was organized by the Ogbomoso Central LCDA staff which according to them is the first time in history of Ogbomoso’s zone local government
Alhaja Rainbow as she is fondly called completed her tenure as the first Female Chairperson for the LCDA
Some of the speakers including staff and party stakeholders described her as a political Amazon who fought for the emancipation of the council and used the available resources to make meaningful impact during her tenure.
“During her time, she initiated many projects which were successfully executed and handed over for community use, she embarked on empowerment for women, children , farmers and others, her legacies remain indelible”
They also described her as woman of humility,humanity,open minded whose office was always open for everybody.
They however prayed that God should open another opportunity and juicy appointment for her
In her response, Alhaja appreciated the staffs for their corporation and support in ensuring her successful term in office ” i appreciate you all, without your support and love i may not have achieved all that we did together, thank you God bless you all she said”
The event was climaxed with presentation of gifts and special prayer
