OCYF Unveils Plans for Maiden Edition of ‘Ogbomoso Youth Festival’

A group of sons, daughters and lovers of Ogbomoso under the aegies of Ogbomoso Community Youth Forum OCYF on monday unveils plans for the maiden edition of Ogbomoso Youth Festival.

The event scheduled to hold between December 21and 22, 2022.

Revd Peter Olaleye OCYF president while briefing journalists said OCYF aimed at creating an atmosphere that will make Ogbomoso sons and daughters willing to visit their country home in the Christmas and New year period and subsequently seize the opportunity to unite the good people of Ogbomoso ahead of 2023 general election, so that we can see ourselves as one.

Outlining the program of event, Olaleye said the event will commence on Dec 21 with Peace and Development Walk

from Ogbomoso High School to Ogbomoso Recreation Club, followed by Award night where personalities who have laboured in one way or the other for the development of Ogbomoso Community will be honoured.

The awards ceremony which is for for the living and the dead ones will hold at Great Hall, LAUTECH Ogbomoso.

Ond December 22, the event continues with Friendly match between Crown FC and All Stars in Ogbomoso at Soun ogunlola stadium and it continues in the afternoon with Ogbomoso Youth Day Ogbomoso Youth Day.

“This will be the first time that Ogbomoso Youths will be having a special day dedicated to them to meet and ruminating together on how Ogbomoso can be better than how we have met it! OCYF looked forward for a fruitful deliberation and a reunion that will result in blessing the greater Ogbomoso city”
