The  National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has denied reports in the social media that she directed corps members to leave the state on account of insecurity.

Abia state Coordinators Mrs. Francisca Ifon who debunked the allegation in a report obtained from leadership.ng said all corps members in the state are on ground.

She said those that are not around at the moment obtained permission to travel, even as she explained that a lot of corps members applied based on the extant law of the NYSC due to closure of schools and momentary stoppage of the Community Development Service (CDS) and not on account of insecurity.

Ifon who said she did not know the source of the report, said Abia is absolutely safe and calm and that there is no reason whatsoever to ask any corps member to leave the state.
