The Oyo State Residential Electoral Commissioner of the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), Barr. Mutiu Agboke yesterday said that the numbers of uncollected PVC’s in Oyo state is enough for a gubernatorial candidate of the state to win election.

The commissioner made this known at the 1 day Maiden Seminar of the Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (OMPAN) held at Dapo Oladogba’s Hall, NUJ Press Centre, Iyaganku Ibadan on the 27th of December 2018.

The commissioner shows his dissatisfaction to the way the citizen of Oyo State neglect the habit of registration and collection of Permanent Voters Card across the State.

He stressed by given the analysis of Voters and PVC collections in the State.
_“We have 2,954,720 registered voters, we have 248,064 PVC collected, we have 103,737 transferred voters, and unfortunately we have 914,529 PVC uncollected”_ he said.

He then enjoined Journalist to be Professional and ethical in anything they do especially in the aspect of electioneering. He advises the Journalist not to publish fictitious and spurious result online before, during and after election so as to make the 2019 general election a credible one.

He as well, plead to the Journalist, especially the Online Media to use their Medium and Platform to preach to the qualified citizens to come out in mass to collect there PVC and participate in the coming election.
